The Awesomeness of My Hometown: Malingping

I love photography. If I go to anywhere on my own, the dominating pictures on my phone will tie between the view or the atmosphere rather than some silly selfies of myself. Even at my home when the moon shone really bright or when it rained, I managed to capture some of (in my opinion) cool pictures. Speaking of home, the town where my mom and dad currently live is called Malingping. Don’t ask me where it is because most people don’t know the town even exist if I mentioned it to them. All I can tell you is that Malingping has some seriously gorgeous beaches to visit. If you are curious, here is where Malingping located.

Honestly, I never really felt like writing about my hometown. You can go through my blog thread and will never find a single article about my hometown until this one. What changes then? I had a couple of ass-doped pictures that are worth to share for the sake of that boring wallpaper of your phone that needs to be replaced by a new and awesome one (hahaha.. Kidding). Here are couples of pictures that I took by using my very own Microsoft Lumia 540.

The first picture here I took from one of the best spot to capture the sunset and the beauty of the beach. I didn’t set the camera to go here and there, I just took it without even looking because it was damn too bright that day. Since the view has been forever gorgeous, the result has always better.

Playing with focus on your camera is dope! I can’t get enough of it. I have dozens of pictures on my phone where I played with focus so much. Like this three pictures and a picture on the opening of this article for instance. I basically just had to find some things for my camera to focus on with beach as its background. It worked perfectly. The first two pictures were taken not far from the first picture I took. The beach called Pasir Putih because it has white-ish sand, I guess. It’s located in Suka Hujan village and about 20-30 minutes ride by bike. As for the third, I took it in Bagedur, another gorgeous beach that I often visit because it’s only 15 minutes from my home by bike. Ten to seven minutes if you ride it like Dani Pedrosa. :p

For me, visiting the beach without seeing the sunset is like eating a bowl of meatball without chili sauce, plain. These are two of many sunset that I took in my recent visit to my hometown. The first picture was taken from Pasir Putih and the second one was taken from Bagedur.

Experimenting with camera and everything that is available on the beach is something I do. The wreckage picture was taken a long time ago in Bagedur, and that’s not my hand in the second picture by the way. It was a shell and I combined it with sunset view.

I also took a few (kinda) pictures of me and my buddies. These girls are awesome when it comes to taking pictures of themselves (ourselves). They can figure out many different poses that sometimes I find it unusual but unique. I really love going to the beach with them. They are the ones who take me to new and undiscovered places along the shore.

Believe it or not, I took these pictures without having to go to the beach. These pictures were taken in front of my home when it was a sunny day in Malingping. I love how those clouds were arranged beautifully and how the stars still shone even it was overpowered by the brightness of moon.

There are actually a lot more places to visit in my hometown like Sawarna in Bayah and Binuangeun, but those places are too far from my home. It could take me an hour or two by bike to be in those places. I stick with the close ones because I am too afraid to go on my own. Hahaha…

The pictures might not as good as a professional photographer would take, but this was the least I could do so people know how awesome my hometown is. I just wish someone would buy me a sophisticating camera like Fuji X-1 or Sony Mirrorless series (Okay, too much :p). Now they also know why I’ve always wanted to come home because how could I not miss those gorgeousness while all I can find in Jakarta is piles of works?
